Political Cartoon “Candles Lit by Neda” by Iranian American Cartoonist and Artist Kaveh Adel
Tonight is a candle night vigil in remembrance of Neda Agha-Soltan and all those who have lost their lives as a result of tyranny in Iran.
A candle flame put out by a bullet has an effect beyond common comprehension.
Neda awakened me and millions of other people who had voices, passions and talents but were afraid to use them to speak against tyranny. For that she will always have a place in my heart and everyone around the world.
The only person we answer to is ourselves and we know within ourselves if we have been cowards or plain human with a heart. It’s a choice.
