Cartoon: Paradise Beneath Women’s Feet Day
Let’s not forget that words and actions don’t seem to always coincide.
It is one thing to place Women on a pedestal with words and then in action tear them down from their rightful place.
This was pounded in my head as a child,
“Paradise is beneath Mothers’ Feet”
But I rarely saw women: wives, mothers, sisters, aunts and grand mothers treated as such. Even in my adult life far, far away from the land of my childhood, I still see many cases that surprise me.
But there is truth in that line.
May there be a day where we all celebrate being human, not just a man or a woman.
Happy Belated 100th anniversary of the International Women’s Day to all.
