Be Yourself No Matter What They Say
I was thinking and dealing with many ideas, problems and dilemmas. A person never really knows who they really are until they are faced with decisions. The duality of one’s personality exists, some hide it well where others are extroverted.
Since immigrating to the U.S. I left a part of me behind in every place where I grew up, lived and passed through however brief. But, I also remembered each place vividly. Each person clearly. Within all of those experiences I saw duality.
Despite this “schism” I always maintained who I was deep down.
Sometimes we are forced to make a decision, become somebody that the circumstances forged but deep down inside one has to be what one wants to be, no matter what others say or want. Eventually you do become who you allow yourself to be.
The lyrics in Sting’s song: “Englishman in New York” fueled the passion I already had to do this sketch so long ago.
May you follow your desires with focused passion.
